Bored

Tara smiled looking at Ikea "really..cause you honestly dont seem that bad"

Ikea's eye twitched. "Never say that again, ok?" she said firmly.

"uh ok. so what shall we do to take our minds off of being bored" she said

Ikea swiftly turned, so that her back was to Tara. "How good are you at climbing?" she asked playfully.

"I'm not that great of a climber... Im terrified of heights" Tara said puzzled at the question "why, do you ask"

Ikea shrugged. "I don't know.l Just thinking that if you would climb then we could climb trees or something." She sighed and rubbed her temples. "I don't even know why I'm bothering to find something to do with you...maybe it's another spontanious act of kindness that I'm experiencing..." She stared up at the trees. "Or maybe because I'm just so bored that I could jump off a cliff."

She looked around for a good looking tree even thouh she had still not gotten over her fear of heights.Tara bit her thumb nail nervous about what she was about to do next. she kicked off her shoes and grabbed onto the branch infront of her, climbing slowing up to the next branch afte branch. she turned her head slidly so she could get a glimps of Ikea and slowly sat down on the sturdy branch she had been standing on. "for know this is as high as I will go..I will try to climb higher after I calm down" she smiled sweetly.

Ikea turned to look at her, smiling sincerly. Not one of the twisted smiles she always wore, but a real one. She couldn't believe that someone, a human, could bring that out of her. Then again, no one, let alone a human had done something that scared them to please her even a little. "Wow. You really..." she said. She didn't know what else to say so she just ran over to the tree. Extracting her nails to their claws she dug them into the bark and started to climb, jumping from branch to branch when she could. She eventualy got to a branch just above Tara's so that Tara didn't have to worry about falling and hurting herself. "If you fall, don't worry."

Tara took a deep breath an gulped. 'if I fall' she thought not knowing if she was going to or not which made her nervous. "thanks" she gave a unrelaxed smile

Ikea shrugged and decided to climb a bit higher. She would be able to get down quick if need be. She climbed up and ended up climbing to the very top. She stuck her head up and out of the leaves and grabbed the trunk with her nails so that she would be able to raise at least half her body out of the leaves. She looked around as the wind blew around her. She closed her eyes and sighed, drifting into one of her extremly rare moments of pure bliss.

Tara stared at her in awe she had never seen anyone do that ever. "dont hurt yourself" she whispered feeling like an idoit

Ikea looked down in Tara's general direction. "Don't worry..." she said quietly, not paying attention. She slowly released one claw's hold on the trunk and leaned out into the late afternoon air. She closed her eyes and smiled, letting her spirit wander.

"alright" she said sheepishly. Tara look at the what she could see from her height releasing her grip on the tree she balanced on the semi thick branch. She put her hand on her forehead and squinted her eyes hoping to see something in the distance.

After a couple seconds Ikea came back to earth and sat down on the closest branch. She looked down to make sure that Tara hadn't fallen, and laughed when she saw what Tara was doing. "There's nothing but trees for miles!" she called down. "The only thing you're gonna see is green and brown!"

"yeah I guess your right. I feel like a monkey in this tree" she giggled and looked up at Ikea.

Ikea laughed with her and then had an idea. Where is all of this coming from? she wondered. Once in a life-time thing no doubt, and I'm not doubting. "How about you come up here? I can carry you if you want!" she called down. "You'll feel like a bird!"

Tara blushed two shades of pink embarrased her climbing skills sucked that much she accepted
her offer. "sure'' she said softly

Ikea climbed quickly back down the tree and stopped at the branch above Tara. She held out her hand and motioned for Tara to take it. "Climb onto my back," she said.

Tara looked like a deer in the head lights and slowly followed her oders an climbed onto her back. "..."

Ikea pressed her right foot down onto the branch, testing her weight before she went any higher. Nothing happened so she started to climb. She went up a bit slower and more cautious then usual, but she couldn't climb as fast with someone on her back now could she. She was about ten branches from the top when she stopped. She turned her head to smile at Tara. "Is here good for you, or do you want to higher?" she asked.

"uh I dont mind going a bit higher" she smiled her fear of hights was weakening as she ignored the distance from the ground. She found a somewhat calming feel of judgment in Ikea, of trust.

Ikea climbed the last couple meters, so that they were now at the top of the tree. She sighed and looked around at the tops of all the trees. "It's nice isn't it," she whispered quietly.

"mmhm" she nodded ''its so high up its cool" she gave her an uneasy smile enoying the view of the tree tops.

Ikea sighed. "I love it up here. There is nothing to disctract you from anything, so you are able to think clearly." She looked back at Tara and gave a small smile befor turning away.
