Bored

Ikea was sitting on the highest branch on one of the trees. She swung her legs as she looked around for something to do. Seeing nothing she turned so that her back was against the tree and lifted her legs up to put them on the branch. "There's nothing to do here," she mummbled.

Tara wandered into the area and saw a girl. "I know what you mean" she muttered.

Ikea looked down, smiling. "Interesting." She jumped down in front of the girl. "And who, prey tell are you?" Then she spun around quickly, crossing her arms. "Not that I really care but..." She turned again and leaned forward. "...sometimes I get curious."

Tara looked at the girl tempted to run but stood her ground. "my names Tara whats yours" she said pulitly

Ikea smiled, able to tell that the girl was starting to get a little afraid. "My name you ask? Well...it could be a number of things hm? I could be April or Susan or Clarabella. Or I could be Selene or Spencer or Erica. Or I could just be-" She paused for effect. "-Nothing!" She burst out into slightly crazy laughter.

"well what kinda parent doesnt name their child" She snarled back at her for being mean.

Ikea crossed her arms and shook her hair back. "Well thank you very much for bringing up such a touchy subjet. And for your information my name is Ikea. Which is a much cooler name then Tara. Who calls their kid just a girly name?"

"Hey what the hell is your problem Ikea!!" Tara was angered by her insulting her name. She walked away angered not having anouther word to say to the mean girl.

Ikea sighed and walked quickly to keep up with her. She stepped in front of her and started to walk backwards. "Hey, whoa. Hold it for a sec Tara will you? If there's one thing you need to know about me-" She sighed again, not really understanding why she was telling her this "-never take what I say to heart. I just say what's on my mind, and what's on my mind is not nessesarily true. Tara is a nice name, I was just shooting your own line back at you."

Tara didnt want to bring it up that her parents both died with in the last 6 years. "well then im sorry for what I said to you..I got scared and being mean is like my last defence"

"Finally," she mummbled. She looked back up at Tara and sighed. "Yeah, understandable. And you didn't say anything at all to be sorry for."

"so what are you doing in the forest?" she asked curiously. Ikea didnt seem that bad of a person after a few seconds.

Ikea crossed her arms and looked around. "It's none of your business but I'll tell you anyway: nothing." She smirked. "There's nothing to do so I've just been doing exactly that: nothing."

"but insnt doing nothin doing something.." she giggled

Ikea narrowed her eyes. "Maybe in your world. But to me, doing nothing isn't a good thing. It means that the world is at a stand-still and nothing destructive is happening."

'oh crap this girl doesnt appear to be nice any more' she thought to her self. "then maybe you could find an activity that would be fun.." Tara suggested woundering if she should leave or not.

Ikea shrugged and looked around. "There isn't anything to do, that's the problem." She looked at Tara and saw an emotion flit across her face. "Are you afraid of me?"

"no..well kinda but what does that matter" she looked at her feet triing not to look at her.

Ikea shrugged. "It should mean something to you. It means that I won't go out of my way to make you afraid of me. You see, I like scaring people and when I don't scare them the first time...well..." She grinned. "I go out of my way and usualy that's not a good thing. But you don't have to worry."

"im sorry I just scare easily" she smiled softly. "why would you want to purposly want to scare people though".

Ikea smiled and shrugged. "It's in my nature." She paused. "Which I wonder if you've figured out."

"so you just go around scaring others...you dont hurt them do you?"

"Not usually," she emmited. "But... no, I don't hurt ones I want to scare. I only hurt people if they force me to." Ikea chuckled a bit at the fact that Tara had thought that her last statement had meant something else intirly. This girl wasn't going to figure out her little, or maybe not so, secret.

"then maybe I should leave you to yourself then" not wanting to get into any trouble.

Ikea shrugged. "You can go if you want, but as I said before, I'm not going to do anything to you. Frankly, I think you're pretty nice."
