Walking

Ikea walked down a street lined with wharehouses, the hood of her black jacket up to block the falling rain. She looked over at a wharehouse whose door was open. She walked over and kicked it open with a loud bang. She stepped into the gloom and flicked her hood off. The area was open and empty, save for a couple of boxes pushed up against a wall.

"Just how I like it," she said, her voice eching around the empty space.

Ikea didn't turn, only stayed where she was. "And pray tell, who are you? To interupt me wasn't such a good idea." She pulled out a lighter and flicked it on, moving it infront of her to get a better look at the room.

Ikea let go of the trigger and the light estinguished. She slowly turned so that she was half facing Amaya, making sure that she could see her bright red eye. "Moving in." She smiled demonicly.

Ikea continued to grin. "Who said that I was trying to scare you?" She turned fully. "And for your information, I've met him the God of Evil too. So don't think that you're all special."

Ikea's smile turned to one of taunting. "No, but just because you don't say something, doesn't mean you aren't think it."

Ikea shook her finger. "See, I'm smart." She let out a short laugh, then her smile vanished, replaced by a look of annoyance. "Why are you here anyway? I chose this place because I thought that no one would come back here. And yet, here you are!"

Ikea frowned a little. "Then I guess I'll have a little more traveling to do." She shrugged. "I liked this place but unless I get somewhere quiet-" She grinned demonicly again. "-there could be some complications."

Ikea waved her words away. "No, no, I'll leave. I may not have a heart, as a lot of people have pointed out, but I do have moments of spontanious kindness. I'll find another spot." She grinned. "As for what you were thinking a moment ago...probably something along the lines of: this is one weird girl, I'd really like to hit her right now...something along the lines of SHE'S WEIRD."

Ikea's mouth set into a hard line and her next words came out as a low hiss: "No no, I insist. It's not everyday that I throw away my morals and sense of self for a mere human."

Ikea raised an eyebrow in subtle surprise and crossed her arms over her chest. "Are you saying that you're not mortal?"

Ikea looked her up and down and let out a laugh. "You seem mortal enough, and if you're not-" she shrugged. "-well really what do I care. Another thing in a world where only demons should exist." A demonic smile slid onto her face. "Just another thing for us to prey on."

Ikea nodded slowly, still smiling. "Uh huh...uh huh...sure. It's gonna take a lot more then that to fully convince me. But-" She turned so that she was facing away from her. "-who knows. Maybe you are telling the truth and I believe you but I don't want to emmit it. Who knows, who knows, who knows-" She turned her head slightly. "-only the Knower knows and thats all most people will ever be."

Amaya rolled her eyes and started to transform into her true form, a Goddess.

Ikea turned her head all the way and a sly smile appeared on her face. "Well, well, well...isn't that just fantastic." She laughed as she turned fully to face her. "Interesting...very interesting. I've only been in this town for about a month and look at who I've met...a God and a Goddess. Fantastic."
