Food Court

Cass walked into the food court in the giant mall. So HUNGRY, she thought, her stomach growling and just begging for food. Cass pulled out a leather wallet she stole from a man off the street a few weeks back and peeked inside. One dollar. She wished that was the price for at least a snack. Walking up to a food store, she looked through the drop down menu. "Two fifty just for a snack?! What kind of a mall is this???" she thought out loud, earning some glances from nearby people. Apologizing, the white-haired girl slipped away and stopped near a wall where little people were at. Looking around, she needed to target a tired victim.

Cass's eye caught on about a girl. She was sitting alone by a table. Cass walked pass the girl, giving a sideways glance towards her when Cass reached her.

Cass jumped as the girl greeted her. She slowly turned her head, her body all tense and cold. "Hi...." she said slowly, wishing upon a star that this girl doesn't have a clue what she was going to do.

Anyway, she turned and looked around again. New victim. Pronto.

Amaya sighed deeply. She turned to face Cass. "My name is Amaya."

Cass stared at Amaya for a moment. She smiled. "My name's Casssandra. Cass, for short," she said. There was someone to talk to at least, which was pretty amazing to someone like her. She glanced at the chair, "Mind...if I sit down...?"

Cass nodded very slowly, a bit embarrassed too.

"Whatever's cheap and affordable," Cass replied. She made promises before; she hates them.

Cass stared at the girl in front of her. Then she turned her head and stared at the food store next to her. In a undertone, she whispered, "A meal is fine...."

Cass shook her head frantically. "A...happy meals fine..." Cass stammered.

Amaya shrugged. "I just got done eating a little while ago." She went up to the counter and ordered a happy meal.

Cass thanked her as she got her meal and ate in silence. She turned to Amaya and asked, "What are you doing here at the mall?"
