Amaya sat on the dock, feet hanging off. "I, Aerith Gainsborough, do pledge myself to you, Orochi, and yes I will even with Amaya in my presence." Amaya shook her head. Aerith's words just wouldn't go away. Aerith had been more than just a follower. Amaya had considered the last Ancient her closest...no, her only, friend. I, Aerith Gainsborough... Amaya shook her head again. .... Do pledge myself to you, Orochi,... No. No, no no. ....And yes.... Amaya kicked her feet. Don't think about that! But the last words would not be silenced. ..... I will even with Amaya in my presence. Amaya screamed. No! Don't think about it! Aerith is happy now! I'm the one always saying all mortals deserve to have their own free will! She chose this! But that makes it hurt even worse. No. As long as she is happy, I am happy too. That's how it should be! So why do I feel so horrible?
